In honor of our empty pockets... literally empty. Alex and I are doing a top 15 moments of his stay in Ecuador since Mom and Ang headed back to snow covered New Hampshire on January 6th.
15. Alex just spent our last 25 cents on 2 cigarettes and before that we traveled all the way from the coast to Quito with just 50 cents which is exactly enough to get us from the bus terminal to my office where we have free water and internet and bathrooms. I couldn't even go to the bathroom this morning because it costs 10 cents... I told you I meant 'literally empty'. We allowed this to happen anticpating the deposit of some cash by our mommy. It is now 11 am, EST, we are hungry cold and still very poor. Thank goodness for my Galapagos fund which is now being used to keep Alex in this country. (*Mommy did deposit the money, it just showed up a little late, truly Ecuadorian style).
14. Getting free rides in the back of trucks.
13. Beers on the beach
12. Good times with my 4 Ecuadorian sons... just watch the video.
11. Dances in the Campo... this includes two birthday parties for a 1 year old and a 7 year old which were held at 9 pm until 5 am and each had it's own bar and lots of drunk adults. We are getting back to Tabuga ASAP so we don't miss the big dance Saturday night.
10. Alex alone 3 days in Tabuga
9. I now have three new god children... two in Tabuga, one in Jama
8. Jeremy's first 10 minutes in Tabuga my godson asked him to be a Padrino (godfather) for his school graduation. Aren't we proud grandparents? The little kids are also graduating from Kindergarden... so adorable!
6. Jeremy and Susan with Cousin Shelly, Ryan and French Fry (a French guy.)
5. Fried Chicken... which now leads to Fried Chicken Fridays'
4. Building a bathroom... thank goodness Alex learns quickly because after the Maestro ditched the bathroom building Alex took over.
3. Hair cut for Alex... he is now using mouse to fully integrate into our latino culture
2. Alex deciding girls that speak English with a latino accent are sexy
1. Today we are going to the airport to change Alex's ticket so he can stay until May when he turns 20!
So much fun! Thanks for letting us know what the two of you are up to. I FLOVE the last photo of the two of you in your matching outfits. It's currently my new desktop background.
